The TAOS is the loadable operating system of a MAX, others call this a firmware. It is not the BIOS, this is called nindy.

Here are some hints inside the DIAG mode, which are rarely documented :

try "help ASCEND"

you will get a lot more information than "? or "help" only.

try "update"

you will see, what options are active, it is coded but shows what is going on before and after an update or a "clear flash" command.
